On October 28, 2023, His Majesty King Mohammed VI will launch the Connected Mobile Medical Units program, placing rural health at the heart of public health priorities. This date also marks the Sovereign's commitment to making digital health, a component of this new program, a lever for change in access to healthcare for populations living in rural and remote areas.
Each mobile medical unit is an integrated module consisting of:

Telemedicine Platform (connected examination trolley, panoramic camera, video station)
touch screens and embedded medical application
Integrated AI in certain devices (e.g. dermatoscope for diagnostic assistance)
Automatic transmission of patient data to a central platform for real-time analysis and tele-expertise by specialists

The solution has been deployed on a large scale in several regions to address the access to care deficit in rural and isolated areas. Mobile medical units are used in real-world conditions, in direct contact with populations, to provide consultations, screenings, and specialized tele-expertise.
